FIBER-OPTIC LIGHTING: A fairly expensive, yet beautiful and worthwhile, option that is being installed in more and more new pools on a regular basis. Fiber-optics lighting is installed along the perimeter of the pool, allowing the various colors of light to illuminate off the water. Fiber-optic light can also be installed under the water, replacing the in-pool lights. But, fiber-optic lighting is currently limited to new pool constructions, as a special tack must be installed to the pool wall to hold the fiber-optic cables in place.
